We are a combination department with full-time and per diem members. The department membership consists of full-time Chief, 4 full-time firefighter/EMTs, full-time Administrative Assistant / EMT, part-time EMS Captain Coordinator, part-time Fire Inspector and paid per diem firefighters and EMTs.

Explanations of Certifications
Base FF / Base EMS: Personnel who do not currently hold any firefighting or EMS certifications.
FF I, II, or III: Firefighter; Relates to the amount of training obtained and State certification received by a firefighter. FF III being the most advanced level of training.
PO: Pump Operator; is qualified to operate all department apparatus and equipment.
EMR: Emergency Medical Responder; is the basic qualification needed to become a licensed ambulance attendant.
EMT: Emergency Medical Technician; is the basic qualification plus some advanced skills.
AEMT: Advanced level Emergency Medical Technician.
Paramedic: Most advanced level of training, including advanced cardiac life support.
FT: Full-time personnel; Firefighters work rotating 24-hour shifts.
