Voter Registration

You can register to vote at the Town Clerk’s Office, a Supervisor of the Checklist session, or at the polls on the day of the election.  You need to have a Photo I.D. and you will need to prove residency and citizenship.  Proof of residency could include a utility bill, lease/renter agreement, deed, a notarized letter from the homeowner, or a tax bill with your Brentwood address. If you are unable to provide proof of residency, you will be required to fill out and sign an "Attestation of Not Possessing Qualified Domicile Proof Documents".

Due to the NH election laws, when registering to vote, you will also need to provide proof of citizenship.  This can be done by providing a birth certificate, passport or naturalization papers.

You also pick up Absentee Ballots at the Town Clerk’s office.  Request forms are available at the office, or you may download them from our website. Election dates and voter registration dates will also be available online.

More information may be found on the Secretary of State's website:
